An important commercial center in Zambia, Ndola lies some 320km north of Lusaka. It is the gateway to the mineral producing region of the country. Like Lusaka, the development of Ndola has been rapid and extensive. The name Ndola is derived from the river which originates in the Kaloko hills and drains in the Kafubu river.

While in Ndola, take time to visit; the Copper Belt Museum to take in the history of the area’s cooper mining industry nearby the Mupapa slave tree (site of the slave market in the 19th Century). Lake Chilembwa which is at the bottom of the large sunken crater and The Musobe game camp to the south, home to giraffe, zebra and antelope.
