  1. What is Twiga Miles?

 

Twiga Miles is a loyalty program by Air Tanzania Company Limited based on the system that grants passengers reward points for every domestic and international Flight they take, and enables them to spend these reward points again on domestic and international Air Tanzania Flights.

 

  1. How do I enroll?

  1. Will you send me a card?

 

Without any need for a card, you will be able to perform your transactions on ATCL website or ATCL Call Center. Cards will be issued to Silver Selous Members and Gold Serengeti Members.

 

  1. Can I earn or spend points when i buy my ticket through a travel agent?

 

Once your membership is activated, you can earn points for all flights you take whether you have bought the tickets through ATCL direct sales channels or through authorized Air Tanzania agents. When making your booking through a travel agent you will need to give the agent your Twiga Miles number so it can be added to your booking.

 

  1. How can I earn points?

 

The more you fly, the more points you can earn and spend on your flights.

 

  1. Can I earn points for every flight or services I buy from ATCL?

 

-You can earn points for all the services and tickets you buy, EXCLUDING:

 

-Reward tickets bought by using Twiga Miles Points,

 

-Additional services,

 

-Flights taken before enrollment date,

 

-Flights taken free of charge,

 

-Special discount tickets and,

 

-Code share flights.

 

  1. How long does it take for my points to be transferred to my account?

 

Your points will have been transferred to your account no later than 72 hours following your flight. The points you have earned will be automatically transferred to your membership account only if you have specified your registered Twiga Miles member mobile phone number during the reservation and ticketing process.

 

  1. For how long do my points remain valid?

 

Your points remain valid till the end of the 3rd calendar year following the date when you have earned them. For instance, points earned in June 2021 remain valid till the end of 2024.

 

  1. Can I earn points if I Check-in but not take the flight?

 

You can only be entitled to earn points after you have completed your flight.

 

  1. How can I spend my points?

 

You can spend your points by clicking on "Use My Points to Buy" section under the payment options tab for the tickets you are going to buy on our website at www.airtanzania.co.tz

 

  1. Can I convert my points into cash?

 

You can only use your reward points to buy reward tickets and additional services for respective flights. The points you have earned cannot be converted into cash money.

The campaign only covers passengers who are a member of Twiga Miles, a loyalty program by Air Tanzania

1000 welcome points will be transferred to your account after activating your account

Passengers under 18 may not join Twiga Miles.

The campaign is applicable to all destinations of Air Tanzania.

Air Tanzania reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the campaign.

All users participating in the campaign are deemed to have read and accepted these rules.

Purchase Reward tickets by using your points!

 

You can plan your travel by using your reward ticket for domestic and international flights any time you like, winter or summer, day or night.

You can use your points to buy our additional services for your reward-ticket flights, enjoying the privileges of Twiga Miles.

Not to worry if your points fall short. Buy extra points and fly without any concerns.

All your need is to click on ‘’Purchase Points’’ button on the payment screen and to select the amount of points you wish to buy.

You earn Tier Points and Award Points from scheduled flights with Air Tanzania. You can also collect Award Points from various partner services.

Award Points

You earn Award Points when you fly on Air Tanzania scheduled flights both domestic and international. Once you earn these Twiga Award Points you can redeem these points and get a free flight on ATCL flights.

Tier Points

You earn tier points when you take ATCL flights both domestic and international flights. Collecting tier points allows you to move up through Twiga Miles Membership tiers - with each tier upgrade, you'll get access to even more varied and valuable benefits. 

Member Tiers

Twiga Miles has three tiers;

Twiga Blue

This is the first entry tier.

Silver Selous

7500 Twiga Tier Points to achieve and keep this level.

Gold Serengeti

15,000 Twiga Tier Points to achieve and keep this level.

Earning Structure

For each route a Base Twiga Point value is assigned.

Members earn more Twiga Award Points when they purchase higher fares

  • %50 more in Twiga Basic
  • %75 more in Twiga Gain
  • %100 more in Twiga Comfort
  • %150 more in Twiga Business

Members earn more Twiga Award Points when they are in Elite tiers.

  • %25 more in Silver Selous
  • %50 more on Gold Serengeti
