A young passenger is considered to be a person aged between 12 and 16 years of age, travelling alone, occupying a single seat and who may have special assistance upon the request of their parents or guardians.
Infants are considered as passengers aged between 3 weeks and 2 years of age.
Note: Infants do not have a passenger seat and will travel on their attendant's lap.
An unaccompanied minor is a child between 5 and 11 years of age (inclusive), who is travelling in a passenger seat and is not escorted by another passenger of 12 years of age or above.
Note 1: Minors aged between 12 months and 4 years old (inclusive), cannot be accepted without an escort.
Note 2: .Parents must notify the ticket agent at the time of ticket purchase that the purchased ticket is for an unaccompanied child
Acceptance
In order to accept unaccompanied minors for transportation, the following rules must be observed:
1. Minors must be escorted to the departure airport by their father, mother, guardian or person responsible who must remain at the terminal/check-in areas until the aircraft takes off.
2. At the destination airport, staff on duty shall, escort the UM to meet the persons named on the "Unaccompanied Minor Assistance Advice” form.
• Passenger with physical mobility limitations due to illness, injury, disability, age may request the use of wheelchairs at the airport upon making their reservation. We offer special wheelchair assistance in the airport terminal building, to and from the aircraft, ascending and descending aircraft steps.
• Such passengers are boarded first and disembark last for their comfort and convenience.
An expectant mother whose pregnancy has reached 28 weeks may be accepted for travel by air up to the end of the 35 th week provided:
o She submits a medical certificate prepared by a competent doctor showing the following information: that she was examined not more than 72 hours before departure of her flight, expected date of delivery and that the journey may not harm the baby.
Passengers requiring special meals for example vegetarian meal, should make these requests at the time of booking or contact our reservations at least 24 hours before departure to enable the airline to advise its caterers.
