Air Tanzania is managed through an Executive management structure reporting to the Board of Directors to allow for checks and balance of the operations through separated powers of the Executives and the Board.
Members of the Board of Directors will be drawn from various sectors of the economy, bringing into the Board a diversified experience. Board of Directors will be responsible for appointing the CEO and Heads of Departments (in consultation with the CEO).
To organize and control human and other resources to create a high performance company, the airline must evolve an organization structure that makes the best use of resources to produce services which customers want. An organization structure which is relatively flat and lean to cater for fast decision making is the one needed. The lean structure will mean that it will have fewer levels and fewer departments. This will mean it will be fixable, will enhance speedy decision making process, implementation and decentralization of decision making.
